Ingredients
Raw rice – 1 kg
Coconuts – 3 nos
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) – 1 tsp
Toddy – 1 glass or 1 tsp of yeast
Sugar – ¼ cup
Salt - As reqd
Preparation Method
1)Grind the grated coconuts and cumin seeds together to a coarse paste and mix with rice powder and sugar.
2)Add toddy.
3)Leave it to ferment for 4 hours.
4)Add the salt and mix well.
5)Pour ladles of batter on a hot oiled griddle to make kallappams.
