Dal Curry



Ingredients

Split red gram or lentil – 225 gm
Onion – 55 gm
Green chillies – 10 nos
Turmeric – a pinch
Fat – 40 gm
Salt – to taste
Curry leaves – a sprig
Mustard seeds – a pinch
Whole red chillies – 3 nos

Preparation Method

1)Sort and wash gram or lentil.
2)Slice onions and slit green chillies.
3)Heat fat (30gm). Sauté gram, onion, chillies and turmeric. Add enough water to cook
4)When tender, remove from fire and mash.
:- Add more water if required.
5)Add salt and bring to boil.
6)Remove and temper with fat (10gm), curry leaves, mustard seeds and whole red chillies.
